Since 2016, Shanghai Chengtou Water Group has repeatedly determined suppliers of telematic water meters and services through public bidding. As of November 2017, Jingda's technical service team has completed the transformation of nearly 40,000 old meters in Putuo District and Yangpu District. The meter online rate and reading success rate have been technically recognized by Shanghai Chengtou Water Group.

Nearly 40,000 remote water meters that have been renovated are all "wireless remote water meters" that use LoRa wireless technology and a detachable appearance design.
The residential areas in Putuo District and Yangpu District are densely populated, and the implementation of wireless remote meter reading has a very good effect. One concentrator can hang more than 400 meters. The wireless signal is fully covered within the meter reading range without blind spots. Occasionally, there are areas with slightly weak signals, and only repeaters need to be added.
At present, about 30,000 of the nearly 40,000 wireless remote water meters that have been renovated have been successfully put online, and the operation is good. The rest are being debugged as soon as possible.
