Changsha has been piloting the use of remote water meters since 2013. The M-BUS wired remote water meters used at that time adopted a unified uplink protocol, and meters from multiple water meter factories were interconnected as required. The installed wireless remote water meters are low-power self-organizing multi-level routing types. Suppliers are selected based on actual meter reading accuracy, success rate, real-time performance, and after-sales service. In November 2013, the "intelligent remote water meter pilot manufacturer" bidding was carried out, and Jingda Company won the bid for both "wired remote and wireless remote water meters"!
With the increase in the operating time of intelligent remote water meters and the actual effect, Changsha Water Group has continuously conducted comprehensive evaluations on the products of several pilot manufacturers. In January 2016, the "2015-2017 Intelligent Remote Water Meter Designated Manufacturer Bidding" was again conducted.
